New from VIRASTAR: NADIYA scaffolding with an aluminum frame

We have released a new product – steel scaffolding with an aluminum frame. We would like to share with you the story of its creation, which prompted us to make a modification of the scaffolding that is different from others.

This year, our company took part in an exhibition where the scaffolding, mobile towers, ladders, stepladders and scaffolding we produce were presented. A woman came up to us, introduced herself as Nadiya and told us that she works as a painter. In her work, she regularly has to use scaffolding. And since this is a permanent working tool, the idea came to adapt it to specific needs.

To make it easier to move the scaffold to different heights, its weight had to be reduced. This was solved by using a lighter material. Replacing the steel frame with an aluminum one allowed us to reduce the weight of the decking. An aluminum profile of 60x20 mm was used for the frame under the decking. The flooring has become twice as light, so it will be convenient to move it, including for women working with the scaffolding. The scaffolding flooring can be installed at any height. Anti-slip plywood 10 cm thick has moisture-resistant characteristics. The flooring area of 1.5 x 0.585 m allows the worker to settle down, put his tool next to him, put a bucket, the necessary materials. You can take several steps to the side along the long scaffolding. The dimensions of the assembled scaffolding allow you to conveniently pass through doorways. 

Another improvement that we made to the scaffolding especially for the craftswoman Nadiya was a small distance between the crossbars to make it easier to climb and more accurately adjust the height of the flooring. We added another step, leaving the height of the scaffolding the same as before (our VIRASTAR Master 300 model with the same dimensions became the prototype of the new scaffolding). And if the Master 300 scaffold had 4 steps on the side ladders, then VIRASTAR NADIYA has 5 rungs, located at a pitch of 20 cm. At the same time, the maximum height of the new scaffolding is 1.34 m.

The VIRASTAR NADIYA scaffold, like all our other scaffolds, is equipped with 100 mm diameter swivel wheels, which have a pedal brake. The wheels must be blocked before climbing on them for work.

The maximum load that the scaffold can withstand is 200 kg. This, of course, should be taken into account, taking into account the weight of the worker, as well as the tools and materials placed on the scaffold.

The weight of the VIRASTAR NADIYA scaffold is 35.2 kg, which must be taken into account when transporting disassembled scaffolds.
