Repair of staircases - what platforms are needed

If to repair a room, corridor or other room with a flat floor you can buy stepladders or stairs, or a small height tower, then to repair flights of stairs you need special designs.

What height access means are suitable for staircase renovations?

Considering that you will have to place high-altitude equipment on steps, you will need something that can be placed on multi-level surfaces. A stepladder or regular ladder will be unstable on the steps. But there are special designs for such working conditions. How to make sure that the scaffolding is stable on the stairs?

When installing scaffolding on one side, you should install one more intermediate section, and it should be installed from the bottom (do not build it up).

The lowest scaffolds up to 2 m high are not suitable for working on a flight of stairs, because they have only 1 staircase section on each side. And in order to get different height sides of the scaffolding, you need taller models, with 2 or 3 rack ladders.

The scaffolding is convenient for working on flights of stairs because it provides a large platform for work. There is enough space on the working platform for the worker, materials, and tools. This is the advantage of using scaffolding for construction and repair work.

Although the Virastar scaffolding is equipped with wheels with a foot brake, they can be removed and the scaffolding can be installed on square supports when you plan to work on steps. This will increase stability and, along with it, work safety.

The platform can be hung at any height, as long as it is parallel to the ground. Do not install the deck at an angle, as this may cause people and tools to fall.

Another option for high-altitude equipment for working on a flight of stairs can be a tower tower, equipped with a special kit for installation on steps. 

The Virastar COMPACT tower and the Virastar OPTIMA tower can be equipped with a side ladder, couplers and feet, which make up a set for ladders. The tower tower is placed on a flight of stairs with a height difference of 3 steps. For safety reasons, bricks, sticks and other objects should not be placed under the heels of scaffolding and scaffolding towers.
