How to determine the dimensions of the tour tower?

If you are a builder, installer or specialist in another profession, then a tour tower is extremely important equipment. After all, it is more convenient and safer to perform high-altitude work while standing on a large working platform than on the rungs of a ladder. Tower towers are stable, durable, provide a wide platform for work, and have a higher height than ladders.

How to choose the height of the tour tower?

If you have not assembled a tower-tour before, you did not have one, then read the recommendations on how to choose a tower-tour.

  • Inspect the work site

First of all, come to the site and inspect the place of future work. Look down, the floor or other surface must be level and strong enough to support the weight of the tower with materials and tools. Remove objects that interfere and clean the surface of dirt. On an uneven floor, the tower may be unstable and there is a risk of tilting and falling. A soft surface is also not suitable, as it may sag and the steel structure will tilt and fall.

If the work is to be done outdoors, look around to see if the wires are interfering with the construction of the tower, and if there is a flat, solid area for the tower. Check the weather forecast: in bad weather, rain, snow and strong winds, working at height is dangerous!

  • Determine at what height you will work

The flooring of the tower can be placed on any crossbar. Determine the maximum level where work needs to be done. If this is a room, then find out the height of the ceiling. If you are working outdoors, determine at what height you will have to work.

The tour tower can be increased in height. Intermediate sections can be added or removed. No tools are needed for this; the parts are attached “pipe to pipe” or with flag locks.

Tower towers of great height must be strengthened with lateral diagonal stabilizers. This will make the structure more stable, and you will be sure that you are working safely.

  • Amount of workers

If you perform high-altitude work alone, a tower with a small deck, for example Virastar COMPACT, will suit you. If a team of 2 people will be working, choose a tower with a large platform, for example, Virastar PROFI 2x2 m.

  • Installation of tower tours

Having decided on the height and area of the tower, you can install the structure. This process will go faster if more workers are involved. Start with the lower bases with wheels, building up the side sections on both sides. Use all items as specified in the assembly instructions. If you accidentally missed something, then disassemble and reassemble correctly so that after installation you do not have any extra parts left. All nodes are needed for the strength of the tower.

Use jacks to adjust the position of the tower to make it as stable as possible.

A tower tower is a mobile mobile scaffolding with a working platform, significant height, and fences. If the scope of work does not cover the entire facade of the building or not the entire wall, then it is more rational to use towers. All Virastar towers are made of steel, with the exception of the VIRASTAR Profitec tower, whose deck frame is made of aluminum. All other Virastar tour towers have a steel frame for decking.

Each tour tower, which can be purchased in 1 click on our website, has a 1-year warranty. The kit includes a passport and instruction manual.
